Compare reported hunters, ducks and geese across five public hunting areas. Choose the same reported dates to make area comparisons easier to assess.
One observation describes a whole area on one date. Hunters are reported visits, not unique people. These reports do not identify blinds or pools.
Historical collections: 2024–25 and 2025–26. Current 2026–27 coverage: October 24–25 only for these areas. This is a dated snapshot, not current conditions or a complete season census.
Rates use total birds divided by total reported hunters, weighted by effort. Every area below uses identical reported dates. Missing reports are never counted as zero.
On small screens, scroll each table sideways to see all totals, rates and source links.

Selected category, dates and common-date setting apply. Leading species are ranks only, with no species counts. “Unavailable” preserves blank or erroneous source fields.
Source: California Department of Fish and Wildlife numeric waterfowl hunt reports. 403 accepted area-day records across regular, youth and veteran categories; 9 rows held for review. Categories and seasons are never combined. Historical collection coverage does not mean every hunt day was reported.
Sutter has fewer reported days. Two historical December pages carry conflicting season headers; affected Sacramento and Sutter rows are excluded. Conflicting duplicates and harvest without hunters are held. Current reports contain only two dates per candidate area.
Zero is retained when explicitly reported. Blank values remain unavailable. Zero hunters produces no rate. Leading species fields do not support species totals, distributions or species-specific rankings.

Official catalog and accepted report bytes checked October 30, 2026. No additional current-season report appeared in the catalog, and all three source fingerprints matched the accepted snapshot. This check does not extend the hunt-date coverage.
