Birds bagged includes all reported categories, including non-ducks. Birds bagged per reported hunter = bagged ÷ reported hunter count. A zero denominator has no rate. Reported hunter counts are not established unique people. Source “days hunted” is retained as reported and is not assumed to mean hunter-days or all offered hunt dates. Reported crippled birds and shots fired are separate measures, not additions to bagged.
Comparisons keep blind-season observations separate. Missing or withheld is never filled with zero. Minimum-count filters show effort and can reduce tiny samples; they do not establish statistical confidence, causal weather effects or future success. Blind labels do not establish unchanged location, current access or cross-year boundary continuity.

Reproducible release nc-mattamuskeet-2021-2024-reconciled-v1. All 972 accepted-record numeric cell references were checked against immutable XLSX XML; species sums, printed species totals and main bagged counts reconcile for every accepted row. An independent review also checked all 1,296 numeric cells across the 48 original records. Source aggregate control rows are not additional observations.
